The course is also very<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong>suitable for anyone who is interested in becoming politically active, but not yet exactly<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong>Learn about the possibilities. Participation is completely free.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>What can participants expect?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What does the municipality do? What is the municipality&#039;s position in Dutch government? How does the<br \/>\nDecision-making within the municipality? What does a council member do? These questions \u2013 and more! \u2013 are answered<br \/>\nParticipants in the course answer. There is also a debate training and meetings with<br \/>\npoliticians and administrators from the municipality. This way, participants gain practical experience and train<br \/>\nthey useful skills. Finally, the participants attend a city council meeting and<br \/>\nthey receive a certificate from Mayor Jan de Boer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Program and course dates<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The course consists of six meetings on the following dates:<br \/>\nWednesday, March 12, 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM<br \/>\nWednesday, March 19, 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM<br \/>\nWednesday, March 26, 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM<br \/>\nWednesday, April 2, 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM<br \/>\nWednesday, April 9, 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM<br \/>\nTuesday, April 22, from 6:00 PM<\/p>\n<p>The meetings take place in the town hall (building 66) at Willemsoord<\/p>\n<p><strong>Organization<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The municipality of Den Helder organizes the Politically Active course in collaboration with ProDemos \u2013<br \/>\nHouse for democracy and the rule of law.
