Children's Workshop: Get creative with the whole family!

During the autumn holiday, there's plenty to do for children at the Gun Foundry! On Tuesdays and Thursdays, between October 19 and November 3, families can come together to paint, build, and enjoy a drink. The creative activities are suitable for all ages, so everyone can join in.

The special children's activities take place on October 22, 24, 29, and 31, from 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM. During these hours, children can let their creativity flow and paint wooden figures together.

The Top Sailor activities take place on Wednesdays and Fridays between October 19 and November 3. Come by on October 23, 25, 29, or November 1, and join in! The boot camps start at 12:30 PM, 1:30 PM, and 2:30 PM, so you can choose the time that works best for you.

The boot camp is held outdoors at the Gun Foundry. This exciting activity is completely free for all children with a valid ticket. Put on your adventure shoes and come march like a real sailor!

Performance: Secret Depths

Experience an exciting adventure in the performance Secret Depths! Follow sailor Bakker, who works as a cook on a submarine. What he experiences there, you will discover during this thrilling performance full of surprises.

Secret Depths is performed on Sunday, October 20, Saturday, October 26, and Sunday, October 27. Each day, the show begins at 12:30 PM, 1:30 PM, and 2:30 PM. You can choose the time that suits you best.

Theatrical tour: Wervians

Join us on a journey through the Ship and Yard exhibition during the theatrical tour Wervians. Our Wervians will take you back in time and tell you all about the work at Willemsoord, the naval shipyard of Den Helder. What was it like to work there? Who was in charge? And what changes did technological advancements bring?

The tour takes place on Sunday, November 4. You can choose from three time slots: 12:30 PM, 1:30 PM, and 2:30 PM.
