The routes of "Het Groene Lint" run in Den Helder past various residential and accommodation facilities, schools and childcare locations with the aim of lowering the threshold for going outside. All routes are "round", which means that by following the symbols, the walker will eventually return to the starting point.
The five routes are marked on the road with their own color and a nature symbol (a tree, flower, bird, butterfly and leaves) and run through the Duinpark, to De Helderse Vallei, through the FalgaTuinen, along the school neighborhood garden on the IJsselmeerstraat. and through the park behind swimming pool 't Heersdiep.
