Your route starts at Camping 't Noorder Sandt. This route takes you through the surroundings of Julianadorp. The first part of the route you walk between the colorful flower bulb fields. In honor of the birth of Princess Juliana in 1909, the hamlet of Loopuyt was renamed Julianadorp. Near junction 1 you will see the Groote Kaap lighthouse. The original tower was built in 1966, but replaced in 1985. The current steel tower is almost seventeen meters high. The Groote Kaap is still used to give signals to water traffic. The last kilometers you walk in the shade on the footpath through the dunes. Every now and then you can enjoy the views of the polder and the North Sea from a dune top.
