Rudi v/d Wint
Reindert Wepko (Ruud) van de Wint (1942-2006) withdrew to the De Nollen inner dune area in 1980, leaving exhibitions in European museums behind him. Here he focused on making paintings, sculptures and structures in conjunction with the dune landscape. De Nollen became his life's work. Van de Wint is known for, among other things, his paintings in the Tweede Kamer (Parliament), and ceiling paintings in the city hall of Groningen and the working palace of Queen Beatrix, Noordeinde Palace. In addition, he has realized thirty-five sculptures scattered throughout the Netherlands.
Since 2003 Willemsoord in Den Helder has had the sculpture ‘Knowing by Heart’ made of cor-ten steel.
The new library School 7 also contains sculptures by v/d Wint.
