New city hall at Willemsoord wins award again.

The Herengracht Industry Prize (HIP) is for the best interior project in the Netherlands. Our City Hall scored maximum points on the assessment criteria. The jury was particularly impressed. “Office Winhov and Van Hoogevest Architecten have succeeded in renewing the city’s connection with its naval culture and in transforming both historic buildings on Willemsoord into a well-functioning and exciting City Hall.”.

The award is once again a great compliment to the municipality of Den Helder, as the HIP jury also admires the choice to locate the city hall in Willemsoord, thereby connecting Willemsoord even better with the city! And of course to Zeestad; commissioned by the municipality of Den Helder, Zeestad developed the new city hall.

Dozens of bunkers still lie beneath De Nollen. Ruud van de Wint made them part of his art landscape. In this way, history, nature, and imagination come together in Den Helder.
