On Sunday afternoon, January 26, philosopher and opinion maker Stephan Huijboom will visit Den Helder. He is currently researching the meaning of love and how the ecological crisis impacts spiritual care.
Huijboom explains: "During this profound lecture, I will outline the effects of climate change and the new questions it raises, including for spiritual caregivers. Drawing on the philosophy of Iris Murdoch, I will explore the role that love plays in this context. Humanity has the capacity to transform, not only by ‘doing things differently’ but by truly seeing the world in a new and more realistic way."
The lecture will include videos and photos, with ample time reserved for questions and discussion.
Practical Information:
Location: Apostolisch Genootschap, Sumatrastraat 16, Den Helder
Time: Starts at 3:00 PM (doors open at 2:30 PM)
Admission: Free, with donations appreciated after the lecture
Everyone is welcome to join this thought-provoking afternoon and reflect on love and our shared responsibility for the planet.
