Reading in the library has started again!
The summer holidays are off to a good start, because the weekly reading to toddlers and preschoolers at KopGroep Libraries will start on Wednesday afternoon 14 July. After months of online reading, due to the current relaxation, you can finally listen to a beautiful reading story together in the library.
Stimulate the fantasy
Reading to young children is important. It stimulates the imagination, develops the sense of language and increases the vocabulary. In addition, reading is fun and enjoyable. This is how little ones become great readers. A savings system has been devised to encourage library visits: every time a child comes to listen, he or she earns a stamp on a savings card. With 10 stamps, the child receives a listening diploma as a gift.
Where and when
The reading is on Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the libraries of Den Helder, Julianadorp, Schagen, Tuitjenhorn and on Texel. In the library of Middenmeer, reading is done once every three weeks on Tuesday afternoons at 2 pm. The reading will start there from 20 July.
