Scouting Jachthoornkorps Den Helder

Music, discipline and conviviality at the youngest hunting horn corps in the Netherlands

The Scouting Jachthoornkorps, part of Den Helder, was founded in 1999. This makes them the youngest scouting band in the Netherlands. "Young" stands for learning, fun, and energy. The members rehearse weekly under the guidance of experienced instructors.

Music with character

The band is recognizable by its distinctive hunting horn sound, sleek uniforms, and musical prowess. They are often seen at tattoos and events. Their performances combine discipline with musicality.

More than music

Besides rehearsals and performances, there's plenty of time for socializing. Think of the annual band BBQ, games afternoons, theme parties, and of course, delivering the Scouting Christmas mail in December.
