First of all, you will receive a briefing from the captain with the necessary information about what to expect during the trip upon arrival on board.

Each participant will also receive a life jacket. Depending on the weather, we also have a sailing suit for all participants if necessary.

After you leave Willemsoord on departure through the Zeedok lock, the boarding point of Wadden Explorer, they will show you the seaport of Den Helder with its fishermen, offshore and naval vessels, after which you choose the open sea and over the "Marsdiep" towards the Razende Bol varen, a large sandbank located off the coast of Den Helder, where you have a great chance of spotting seals in their natural environment.

Along the way they tell you everything about the area and its inhabitants (Seals!)
