The campsite consists of four different camping fields, each with its own atmosphere. In the design of the fields, conscious use was made of natural materials that blend in with the surroundings and contribute to life on the campsite. Examples include green dividers, flowering plants, brushwood piles, and insect hotels. These elements attract birds, butterflies, bees, and other animals. Biodiversity is a top priority: guests should feel at home, as should the nature around us.
In addition to the campsite, we run a flower bulb nursery and a small vineyard. We regularly organize tours where you can learn more about the landscape, the bulb fields, the vineyard, and the story behind our place. Small-scale activities are also organized occasionally on and around the campsite. Think of getting creative with shells, driftwood, or other natural beach finds. These are small, simple activities that create a stronger connection with the surroundings. This way, you experience the place not just as a visitor, but truly become part of it for a while.
At Camping Helmzicht, it is all about slowing down, discovering, and enjoying what is already there: the scent of the sea, the sound of birds, the colors of the bulb fields, the vastness of the landscape, and the tranquility of being outdoors. A place for those who enjoy camping with a focus on nature, the environment, and each other.
Safari tents
For those who would like to camp comfortably, there are safari tents for two people. The tents are situated in their own private spot at Camping Helmzicht, with a terrace and natural partition for extra peace and privacy.
The safari tents are tastefully furnished and equipped with every convenience. Inside, you will find a spacious double bed, a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, gas stove, small oven, and coffee and tea making facilities. There is also a cozy seating area. Outside, there is a picnic table and lounge chairs or a lounge sofa, so you can fully enjoy the fresh air, peace, and nature around you.
Guests staying in the safari tents use the sanitary facilities on the campsite. The safari tent can be booked for a minimum of three nights. During the high season, July and August, a stay of one week applies, with Friday as the changeover day. Arrival is possible from 14:00 and departure is at 11:00.
