The subsidy scheme for entrepreneurs in the Kop van Noord-Holland who wish to convert their vehicles and vessels to hydrogen propulsion has been expanded. In addition to subsidies for conversion, subsidies are now also available for research and the purchase of a vehicle or vessel. With this subsidy, the Regio Deal Maritiem cluster Kop van Noord-Holland encourages companies in the shipping and agricultural sectors to make greater use of hydrogen. Applications for the subsidy can be submitted until September 1, 2025.
Why hydrogen?
Hydrogen is a sustainable and rich energy source that can help combat greenhouse gas emissions and current climate change. This enables us to make the transition to a cleaner and sustainable hydrogen economy.
When to apply?
From 1 September 2024 to 1 September 2025, entrepreneurs can apply for the hydrogen subsidy via www.denhelder.nl/waterstofsubsidie. Information about the scheme and the conditions can also be found there.
How much subsidy can an entrepreneur apply for?
A subsidy amounts to a maximum of 75% for research (up to 3,000 euros) and 30% of the total conversion/purchase costs, with a maximum of €50,000.
A total of €345,000 is available.
Hydrogen subsidy made possible thanks to the Regional Deal The hydrogen subsidy is made possible thanks to the Regional Deal Maritime Cluster Kop van Noord-Holland. Through the Regional Deal, the national government, the province, regional municipalities, and other (public and private) partners are working on a future-proof region. Together, they are investing in new ideas in the field of hydrogen and technology. This should lead to more jobs and better-trained personnel in the region, and ultimately contribute to a strong economy.
