The municipality of Den Helder is making part of the public space of the town hall, the nave, available for activities. With the opening of building 66 in September 2023, interest has grown in utilizing the unique facilities for a variety of activities, such as exhibitions, and meetings. This contributes to the connection between the municipality and the residents

The nave
The municipality of Den Helder emphasizes the importance of making the central nave available to local organizations and residents whose goal is not to make a profit. These initiatives must comply with the requirements of the Market and Government Act, which means, among other things, that commercial activities are not permitted.
Possibilities
Councillor Niels Nanning: The town hall is a unique location in the maritime heart of our municipality. It offers a wonderful space for organizing cultural and social activities. By making this space available, we offer residents and organizations the opportunity to come together, share knowledge, and let creativity flourish in the historic Willemsoord event area.
Terms of Use
Various rules and regulations apply when organizing activities in the nave. These are laid out in a document to ensure that every activity runs safely and properly, and that both organizers and visitors have a pleasant experience.

- Ships Fair: exhibition of small boats preceding the EOC Traditional Ships Fair
- Exhibition 'Waterworks – Jan Blanken's Dream'‘
- Exhibition about the coast of the residents of Esdégé-Reigersdaal
