The Naval Aviation Service Tradition Room lets you experience the history of Dutch naval aviation. From onboard aircraft to unique photographs: everything exudes aviation, technology, and tradition.
From air base to museum
It began in 1969 with a small collection at Naval Air Station De Kooy. The collection has since grown into a professional exhibition in two halls: the Vreede Hall and the Kramer Hall, named after aviation pioneers.
Discover the world of MLD
You'll see historic aircraft, helicopters, scale models, and original uniforms. There are also artifacts and images from over a century of naval aviation. Together, they create a powerful story about people and machines.
Educational and impressive
The tradition room is more than just an exhibition. It also houses a cinema, a library, and an extensive archive. It serves a valuable educational purpose and can be visited by appointment every Wednesday.
