Zeestad has redesigned part of the public space at the new homes on Oostslootstraat/Koningstraat. The work was combined with sewerage works. Work was also carried out in parts of Loodsgracht and Hoogstraat.

Oostslootstraat has remained a one-way street (towards Prins Hendriklaan) with footpaths on both sides. The connection of Oostslootstraat to Prins Hendriklaan has been shifted to the south. On the north side of Oostslootstraat, just before the new development, the footpath is wide. The contours of the green park are visible. The planting is yet to be installed. A number of parking spaces have been created on the south side.
Almost all work will be completed in June 2025. The green area is yet to be planted. The paving of the intersection will follow at a later stage due to construction traffic that will continue to drive to and from the new construction sites in the northern part of Koningstraat over the coming years.
