Walk from performance to performance
The festival features a carousel of three performances. You will visit the Village Hall, the Huisduiner Church, and the Grand Hotel Beatrix. You can enjoy a drink at each location. This way, you combine live music with a walk through Huisduinen. The program runs from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Discover different jazz styles
Gumbo Night Band plays music from New Orleans. Expect jazz, rhythm and blues, and funk. The band plays a tribute to artists such as Louis Armstrong. Music by Allen Toussaint and The Meters is also featured. Several band members play with well-known Dutch artists.
The Kristina Kovalyova Trio opts for an intimate atmosphere. Kristina Kovalyova sings, Anna Zavorina plays double bass, and Santiago Bonanni plays guitar. The trio combines jazz classics with original compositions. Improvisation and modern influences give the music a fresh sound.
Swing along to Gershwin and big band music
The Ghost, the King and I plays George Gershwin. The trio performs standards, preludes, and excerpts from Rhapsody in Blue. Rob van Bavel, Frans van Geest, and Vincent Koning play together. Their music revolves around virtuosity, interplay, and swing. The trio recently celebrated its fifteenth anniversary.
Bigband Frankie Goes To joins in with a broad range of jazz sounds. The band plays swing, funk, Latin, rock, and bebop. Ballads and unexpected musical combinations also feature. Frank van Gemert leads the well-known Helderse big band, ensuring a great deal of variety throughout the afternoon.
