We're looking for ambassadors. Real people. Who enjoy sharing their pride in Den Helder.
As a Den Helder ambassador, you will go on the road three times a year.
We arrange the outing. You experience it.
This could be a walking route, a visit to a museum, a bike ride along the dike or a discovery tour with your family.
You'll take some photos or short videos along the way. Then send us your story, in your own words. We'll turn it into an article and publish it on denhelder.online.
No fuss, no pressure. Just tell us what you've experienced. And why you love this city.
We're starting this year with four ambassadors. Four people (or families) who each experience Den Helder in their own unique way. Do you recognize yourself in one of these profiles?
You are a father, mother or caregiver of children between the ages of 4 and 14.
You love going out.
A morning at the beach, a treasure hunt in the woods, a visit to the museum together or eating pancakes in town.
You know what works with children. And what doesn't.
Your stories help other families to do something fun in Den Helder too.
You enjoy walking and cycling, alone or with others.
You know the most beautiful paths, the nicest benches, and where you can drink coffee with a view.
Maybe you've lived here for years. Or maybe you just moved in.
You show how you, as a 50-plusser, can fully enjoy being outdoors in Den Helder.
You seek peace and quiet.
You enjoy bird watching, getting a breath of fresh air in the dunes, or just sitting and doing nothing.
You look at the landscape differently.
And you know what a good place is for an early morning walk or a sunset.
With your gaze you show how green, spacious and quiet Den Helder can sometimes be.
Water is part of your day.
You sail, fish, surf, walk along the dike every day or sit at the jetty watching the boats.
Perhaps you volunteer at a water scouting group or are a member of a sailing club.
Your stories show how water and this city are connected.
You don't have to be an influencer. Not a writer. Not a famous beachcomber. Just yourself.
