On Saturday, March 7th, you'll see something that normally remains hidden. During "Beesten naar Bed" (Beetle's to Bed) at De Helderse Vallei, you'll watch the animals head to their nighttime quarters. The zookeepers will take them to their stables and cages. This usually happens after closing time. Now you can be there.
A special look behind the scenes
You can see how the animals react at the end of the day. Some walk along calmly. Others go at their own pace. Meanwhile, they get their food. This way, you can discover how the care goes in the evening.

"Animals to Bed" is suitable for everyone. No registration is required. Just come along and see what happens. A short activity, but an experience you won't soon forget.
Arrive on time
The activity runs from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Participation is free. Get out and end your day in nature among the animals of Den Helder.
