Loek van den Berg (born 1996) is a saxophonist and composer. His playing is characterized by its lyricism, interaction, and swing. His compositions are narrative and atmospheric, full of space and emotion. With the Quintet, he has performed internationally and won numerous awards.
Awarded and acclaimed
In 2022, the quintet won second prize in the Getxo Jazz Competition. A year later, they received an Edison Award for their debut album. Wayfarer. Their new album Seafarer has just been released, again with strong compositions and a unique sound.
