Good turnout at Dijkkwartier information meeting

On November 4, Zeestad organized an information meeting together with the municipality, the water board, and Housing Foundation Den Helder. Once again, visitors paid a great deal of attention to the progress of the project. And there is extensive coverage in the Helderse Courant today.

During well-attended presentations by the water board, it was clearly explained what the dike reinforcement – part of the project – will look like. This was appreciated by those present.

Visitors were treated to a preview: the design of the first residential building was presented by architect Happel Cornelisse Verhoeven. With this, Housing Foundation Den Helder continues the high architectural quality. Construction of the residential building is expected to start no later than early 2027. Because it is not situated on the dike, there is no need to wait for the reinforcement.

In the coming years, in addition to rental homes, the Dijkkwartier will also see many owner-occupied homes and apartments in various price ranges. These are also being built by other parties.
