Step by step, contractor Tuin, commissioned by Helder Vastgoed BV, is working on the realization of two new social rental homes and office space for the lawyers of Knuwer. In doing so, the characteristic villa from the 1930s is given a new purpose.
To make the building more sustainable, insulated roof panels will be installed and window frames with insulating glass will be fitted. The building is being completely renovated according to a design by the Helderse firm KJK Architecten, in which preserving the original character is central. The city villa is part of the restructuring of the Den Helder city center, in which more than 200 owner-occupied and (social) rental homes will be realized by Helder Vastgoed over the coming years.
