Open Monument Day: Drop-in tours in the Navy Museum's Boat Shed
This year, during Open Monument Day on September 12 and 13, the Naval Museum is opening the doors to a special piece of maritime heritage: the old boat shed at the Willemsoord Royal Shipyard. Normally, this space is closed to the public as it serves as storage for the museum, but this weekend you can view the building up close. During these special walk-in tours, you will not only gain access to a hidden part of the museum but also discover the rich history of the boat shed and the future plans for the building. The boat shed will, in fact, become an integral part of the renewal of the Naval Museum in the coming years.
