An ode to Ramses Shaffy, sung by Charl Delemarre. With his rendition of the iconic song 'Laat me', Charl Delemarre blew the jury of the popular TV program 'The Tribute: Battle of the Bands' away. His performance touched both the audience and the jury, who spoke highly of how close the band manages to come to Ramses Shaffy and of Charl's strong personal expression.

In this performance, Charl, together with his band, pays an impressive tribute to Ramses Shaffy, an artist who has left an indelible mark on Dutch music history. Shaffy's songs, full of passion, zest for life, and melancholy, continue to inspire generations to this day. Charl knows how to convey Shaffy's music in an impressive and sincere manner. Emotion, intensity, and authenticity take center stage, where his deep connection to Shaffy's work is palpable in every performance and adds a profound personal layer.

With his unique voice and intensely heartfelt performance, Charl brings the soul of Shaffy's music back to life. Iconic songs such as 'Laat Me', 'Sammy', and 'Zing, Vecht, Huil, Bid, Lach, Werk en Bewonder' are performed in his own honest and compelling way.
