On Thursday, April 30, jazz will resound in the Noordkop. Frankie Goes To will give two live performances that day. For the first time, the region is joining in the celebration of International Jazz Day. That makes this edition extra special.
Listen to jazz among the people
Frankie Goes To plays a repertoire full of swinging classics and modern arrangements. This way, you experience jazz up close and live.
Play along if you dare
These performances are not just for listening. Do you play an instrument? Then you can join the big band. Anyone who wants to will even get the chance for a solo. This way, you experience jazz from the inside. Sign up before April 25 via [email protected] if you want to play along.
Choose your moment
At 2:00 PM, the band plays in the small church of Huisduinen. A second performance follows at 4:30 PM in the bandstand in Loopuyt Park in Julianadorp. Both performances last approximately 45 minutes.
Experience a global jazz day close to home
International Jazz Day is a global initiative of UNESCO. More than 190 countries participate. In the Netherlands, attention was primarily focused on larger cities. Now, the Noordkop is also getting a place on this day.
