Visit The Helderse Valley for a lecture about the sea eagle in the Netherlands. The Bird Working Group Den Helder invites you to learn more about this impressive bird of prey. Romke Kleefstra of the Sea Eagle Working Group Netherlands explains how the white-tailed eagle established itself in the Netherlands and why the population is growing.
Stories from the field
During the lecture, you'll learn what sea eagles eat, how they breed, and what young eagles do after they fledge. Special attention will be given to sea eagles in the north of the country, such as those in North Holland. This will give you a unique glimpse into the life of this bird.
For nature lovers
The lecture is open to everyone aged 15 and over. There's no need to register in advance; simply drop in. The admission fee is low (€2 for members, €3 for non-members).
