The band is back. They never completely let go of the music and each other, and what they have missed most are the intimate shows: together with their audience in a venue, where every note counts, every silence speaks, and every glance means something. With a new tour, Mister and Mississippi is visiting a number of special and personal locations. These venues have been carefully chosen because they suit the band and the music: intimate, personal, and vulnerable. During this tour, the band plays not only songs from their three albums—the songs that shaped them—but also new work that they have written in silence over the past few years. Songs that are finally seeing the light of day and want to be heard.
Since their formation in 2011, Mister and Mississippi has built a loyal fanbase at home and abroad with their mix of indie, folk, and pop. Their three albums – Mister and Mississippi (2013), We Only Part to Meet Again (2015), and Mirage (2017) – garnered much praise and touched a broad audience. From small clubs to large concert venues and festivals, their music found a home everywhere. Along the way, they received an Edison and multiple 3FM Awards, but above all, the connection with the audience that embraced them from the very beginning remained the most important thing. After seven years of silence, this tour feels like a new chapter – a return that proves what we always knew: we only part to meet again.
