The Nieuwe Kerk in Den Helder has been a connecting place in the city since 1838. Originally built for shipyard personnel, the church grew into an important social hub. Here, people came together, shared life, and cared for one another.

There is an exhibition Art in the Church: Water & Exhibition 70 Years of Photo Club Den Helder, and there is an ongoing exhibition on the history of the monument.
