Piaf by Suzan Seegers – A new Dutch musical about the life and death of a legend
A new Dutch musical about the life and death of a legend
After a life full of drink, drugs, and men, one of France's greatest artists passed away 60 years ago: Edith Piaf. Now, long after her death, her songs are still listened to and sung all over the world. Songs like 'Non, Je ne regrette rien', 'La Vie En Rose', 'Milord', and 'Padam' are just a few immortal examples from an impressive repertoire of songs.
This performance is about the life and the death of 'the little sparrow'. Through stories and her unforgettable music, the phenomenal Piaf relives various important moments from her life. She discovers who she was and finds out what it is that she leaves behind.
Marjolijn van Kooten – It won't be my fault
We know Marjolijn from her previous, sold-out shows about panic, worrying, and pills. Her honest, deadpan cabaret full of self-mockery is a genre in itself and draws full houses throughout the Netherlands. In this show, she wonders why we only appreciate life when someone is dead. Or sick. Couldn't that happen a little sooner? Do people have to die before we feel alive? Black humor, sensitive songs, and shameless stories; that is Van Kooten through and through. It certainly won't be her fault if she doesn't.

Rayen Panday – Grip
How do you get a grip on your past, how do you get a grip on love? How do you get a grip on a world that is murky and where boundaries are vague? Making the right decision, managing the situation, keeping yourself in check; it seems harder than ever. Before you know it, you step over something or bump into something. Perhaps it is better to let go as much as possible. After all, too much grip isn't good either. But how do you do that, and what do you let go of? What is important enough to hold on to? The answer to all these questions and more: you won't get it during the performance. Or well, maybe a little bit. What you do get, in any case, is Grip: a performance that doesn't let go easily.
