Natuurinformatiecentrum Balgzand, ’t Kuitje

Southeast of Den Helder lies the beautiful Wadden Sea World Heritage nature reserve. The Balgzand forms the western part of the Wadden Sea. This area is crucial for migratory birds and fish. To introduce as many people as possible to this beautiful area, the Wadden Association organizes mudflat excursions from the Balgzand Nature Information Centre "'t Kuitje." We introduce visitors to lugworms, ragworms, barnacles, mudflat snails, hermit crabs, and crabs. Discover the difference between a male and a female crab!

To the southeast of Den Helder lies the beautiful Wadden Sea World Heritage nature reserve. The Balgzand is the western part of the Wadden Sea. This area is very important for migratory birds and fish. To introduce as many people as possible to this beautiful area, excursions are organized by Landschap Noord-Holland from the Balgzand Nature Information Centre ”'t Kuitje’.

Het Kuitje is only open during excursions. There are no fixed opening hours.
