Will you be our new content marketer?

For many people, Den Helder doesn't start on the beach or in Willemsoord, but online. Via social media, the website, a newsletter, or the app. It is precisely there that the first impression of the city is often formed. And that is why we are looking for you.

As an Online Content Marketer, you ensure that Den Helder is presented online in a recognizable, relevant, and attractive manner to residents, visitors, and partners. You gather stories from the city, our team, and our network and translate them into a strong online approach. You direct the content, safeguard the story of Den Helder, and ensure coherence between our channels and communications.

You will work in a warm and committed team with experienced city marketers. You won't have to do it alone, but we are looking for someone who dares to make independent decisions, takes responsibility, and collaborates easily with colleagues, partners, and ambassadors.

You bring stories, channels, and content together in one strong line.

What are you going to do?

You give direction to Den Helder's online story. You translate stories, plans, and developments into a consistent online narrative and ensure that our website, social media, newsletters, and app reinforce each other.

You manage content and create content yourself where necessary. Sometimes you write or create something yourself, sometimes you collaborate with colleagues, partners, ambassadors, or external creators. You determine what is needed to ensure a story lands well online.

You monitor the performance of the online channels and use those insights to make adjustments. In doing so, you look at reach, interaction, website traffic, and newsletter results, among other things.

You have a feel for online, content, and communication. You can structure content and switch between thinking and doing.

You have experience with online content, social media, and digital communication. You write easily and flawlessly, have a feel for visuals, text, and timing, and understand how different channels work.

You have a higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level, or MBO-4 with relevant work experience.

You work independently and take responsibility, but also actively seek collaboration. You can effectively communicate ideas and results and have an affinity with Den Helder and the region.

  • the possibility to work hybrid in consultation
  • a training budget to further develop yourself
