Apply for event subsidy first quarter 2027

Are you organizing an event in January, February or March 2027 in Den Helder, Julianadorp or Huisduinen? Then you can June 1 to June 30, 2026 apply for an event subsidy from the municipality Den Helder.

You can choose to submit your application as early as June. You may also wait until the usual application period for event subsidies in September.

On this page, you can read what information and documents you need for a complete application.

Where can you find the information?

You can find all information about the scheme, conditions, and application forms on the website of the municipality of Den Helder:

You can submit the application directly via the municipality's website.

What do you need for your application?

To properly assess your application, the municipality requests a number of documents. Ensure that your application is complete before submitting it.

Event program

Provide a clear description of your event. Include at least:

  • the date and location;
  • the components of the program;
  • the target group;
  • the expected number of visitors.

Budget

Add an overview of the expected costs and revenues of the event. Use the mandatory budget format provided by the municipality for this purpose.

In the budget, you can include costs for, for example:

  • artists or music;
  • technology and stage;
  • security and first aid;
  • promotion;
  • volunteers;
  • permits and insurance.

Does a part of the budget require additional explanation? If so, include this explanation in the mandatory format for the explanatory notes.

Promotion plan

Describe how you want to reach visitors and how you will draw attention to the event. Consider, for example:

  • social media;
  • posters or flyers;
  • press and media;
  • collaborations with other organizations.

You must also use the mandatory format from the municipality for the promotion plan.

Your organization details

Please also include your organization's details. The municipality would like to receive:

  • a current overview of the board;
  • for a first application: the articles of association and deed of incorporation of the foundation or association;
  • In case of changes: the most recent version of these documents.

What is your application assessed on?

The municipality assesses the applications based on the criteria from the Events Subsidy Regulation Den Helder 2024. This involves looking at, among other things:

  • the contribution of the event to the identity and image of Den Helder, Julianadorp and/or Huisduinen;
  • the extent to which the event attracts visitors and reaches different target groups;
  • the quality and feasibility of the program;
  • the way in which the event is promoted and made visible;
  • collaboration with local organizations, entrepreneurs, and associations;
  • attention to sustainability and socially responsible organizing;
  • the continuity and future-proofing of the event;
  • the contribution to the municipality's annual theme, if applicable.

No annual theme has been set for event subsidies for 2027.

The applications are compared with one another. In doing so, the municipality assesses the extent to which the event contributes to the above criteria.
