The year is drawing to a close. We look back with pride on the great steps taken in the renewal of our city center.
This leap in quality is already visible in the townhouses, apartments, and maisonettes on Spoorstraat, Koningstraat, and Prins Hendriklaan. The Molenwerf residential area on Fabrieksgracht is also a gem. It will gain extra luster starting in the spring when the accompanying windmill begins turning. In addition, our new city hall at Willemsoord has received much recognition, including the Arie Keppler Prize, the Gulden Feniks, and the BNA Award for Public Building of the Year.
And in 2025, we will continue with promising projects. Such as De Admiraal (54 homes) and Het Warenhuys (36 homes with shops on the ground floor). The Kroonpassage is making way for a Jumbo supermarket as an additional draw for the city centre, plus a large number of parking spaces. We are realizing new homes in the Koningstraat, delivering 22 townhouses for the Molenplein aan Zee project, and building a pedestrian and cyclist bridge connecting the Francien de Zeeuwkade with Willemsoord.
A fresh wind is blowing through the city. Something very beautiful is emerging in Den Helder.
We wish everyone happy holidays and an inspiring 2025!
Yours sincerely,
Team City by the Sea
