On Wednesday, May 22, Alderman Camara, on behalf of the municipality of Den Helder, will sign the declaration of support for the Cultural Education with Quality (CmK) program 2025-2028 in the presence of local project leader Triade.
Long-term program. The municipality of Den Helder has participated since the first CmK period, and is now in its third. Triade has been responsible for the program's implementation since its inception. They have developed a program for each implementation, incorporating previously acquired knowledge into subsequent periods. Participation has expanded over the years from just a few schools to currently 13, including special education schools.
Cultural Education: The focus from 2021 to 2024 was on developing structured cultural education in primary education. In the coming period (2025 to 2028), the focus will shift to sustainable collaboration between cultural partners, participation by all educational institutions, increasing the expertise of teachers and cultural providers, and ensuring equal opportunities for all children and young people.
In collaboration with Plein C (the provincial expertise center for cultural education and participation), Triade has developed a plan to translate national goals into a customized local program. This plan builds on the knowledge gained in recent years and the steps already taken.
Continuing the program will allow for more in-depth collaboration with the current participating schools. At the "new" schools, more work will be done at the grassroots level. This way, each school can participate at its own level. In addition to being the project leader for the municipality of Den Helder, Triade is also the project leader for the municipalities of Schagen and Hollands Kroon, and there is close collaboration with the municipality of Texel. Triade's role allows for the sub-regional pooling of knowledge and expertise in the northern part of North Holland, allowing the projects to reinforce each other. The CmK program is co-funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
Alderman Camara: "The Quality Cultural Education program ensures that children are exposed to culture. And that's important because you can learn from culture, it connects people, and above all, it's a lot of fun! Thanks to the collaboration with our many regional partners, we can continue to offer children a great program in the coming years."“
