On Wednesday, June 5th, Team Sportservice Noordkop will host the 30th annual School Cross Country Championships at the SV Noordkop track in Den Helder. Primary school children have the chance to achieve the fastest time in their category and win great prizes.

From 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, children from grades 1 through 8 will run on the athletics track at SV Noordkop. Dani Bankert of Team Sportservice Noordkop and co-organizer of the Scholierencrossloop is enthusiastic about this edition: "It's great that we can get all the primary school children in the municipality of Den Helder moving again this way. We're definitely looking forward to this anniversary edition."“

It promises to be an energetic afternoon, with children speeding across the track, pushing their own boundaries, and determined to beat their classmates. A 400-meter challenge awaits the little ones in grades 1 and 2, and the participants in the frame running category. Children in grades 3 through 8 will compete over a 1000-meter distance.

Ceremony for the winners

After each round, the top competitors are honored on the podium. The winning school will be announced later. They will also receive the grand winner's trophy.
