Discover the story of the neighborhood
At 3:45 PM, a lecture begins about the Vogelbuurt during and after the Second World War. The Helderse Historical Society will take you through the history of the neighborhood. This adds extra depth to the afternoon, allowing you to experience Liberation Day through the eyes of the neighborhood as well.
Come along through the Vogelbuurt
At 4:30 PM, you can join a walk through the neighborhood. A guide will let you experience the Vogelbuurt up close. You will see more, hear more, and experience the surroundings differently. This makes the program varied and personal.
End on a festive note together
The afternoon concludes with Freedom Soup, music, and good company. You will meet neighbors and celebrate together what freedom means. This way, you go home not only with a story, but also with a warm feeling.
