Since 1996, the impressive lightship Texel No. 10 has been moored in Museum Harbour Willemsoord. The ship immediately attracts attention, not only because of its appearance but also because of its location: a stone's throw from the slipway where it was launched in 1951.
Visit the ship and step back in time
The Texel lightship is open to visitors today. You literally step aboard a sailing monument. Ideal for a day out that is safe, educational, and surprisingly close by.
Activities
Various volunteers are ready to provide an explanation of the history of the lightship and the work on board. Various local artists and/or choirs will also make a musical contribution.
Optredens
Op zaterdag geniet je aan boord van lichtschip Texel van optredens door Koor Onrust en zanggroep Melody. Daarnaast brengt Ronald Kroon oude foto’s van Den Helder met behulp van AI tot leven.
