From Friday, July 24 to Sunday, July 26, the Den Helder harbor comes to life. During the Jutterhavendagen, everything revolves around the sea, ships, and the city. You walk among classic vessels, see old crafts in action, and enjoy music, food, and a lively atmosphere.
Feel the maritime atmosphere up close
Climb aboard a tall ship. Watch rope-making or net-mending demonstrations. Taste fresh fish, listen to sea shanties, or witness a rescue operation up close. Everything takes place on and around the quays.
Something to do for young and old
Children can climb, craft, or join a boat tour. You can relax on the terrace or stroll along the boats with a beer. There's always something new happening. From a small theater to a shanty choir, from a ship's engine to a food truck.
A weekend full of sea stories and atmosphere
Plan your visit wisely: some activities only take place once. Friday often kicks things off with music, Saturday is the busiest, and Sunday is wonderfully relaxed.
