On Saturday, September 12, 2026, the Noorder Kunstkring opens its doors for the annual art market. Discover art, demonstrations, and live music from 12:00 to 16:00.

Visitors can see artists at work up close. For example, portrait drawing is demonstrated, and weather permitting, you can admire the spectacular Raku firing. The etching press is also used, allowing you to see how a work of art is created step by step.

There is plenty of art to view and buy. Various members are offering their own works and are happy to tell you more about the different techniques. In addition, live music creates a pleasant atmosphere, and coffee, tea, and treats are available.

Come by, meet the makers, discover various art techniques, and be surprised by the versatile work of the Noorder Kunstkring.

The Royal Netherlands Marine Band, together with Carel Kraayenhof (bandoneon), presents a musical tribute to a special and moving moment in recent Dutch history. On February 2, 2002, Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and Máxima Zorreguieta exchanged vows, a day that many still remember vividly. Central to this program is that one unforgettable moment: the emotional performance of Adiós Nonino, during which the world witnessed the famous “royal tear.” Together with Carel Kraayenhof, the Marine Band returns to this intense memory and brings this moment back to life.
