Cycle along the past of Den Helder

Hop on a bike and discover Den Helder in a different way! During Open Monument Day, you can join a free historical bike tour past special places in the city. Along the way, you will hear stories you won't soon forget.

Start after the official opening

The bike tour begins after the official opening of Open Monument Day at Den Helder. The starting point is the Ontmoetingskerk, Loopuytpark Julianadorp. Cycle through the dunes, where the story of the dunes and the Second World War is told, to the Huisduinerkerkje. Discover the rich history by bike! The opening is at 10:00 AM. The bike tour starts at 10:30 AM, and you will then make a loop through the historic part of Den Helder.

For young and old, free and fun

The bike ride is free and suitable for all ages. Whether you come alone, with friends, or with the whole family – everyone is welcome to join and enjoy a relaxed and educational morning.
